Walk-ability specialises in guided trips in the Scottish hills for disabled walkers and their carers.

Every walk will be led by one or more qualified guides.

We aim to meet with clients before walks to ensure that we meet their requirements, particularly if there are concerns over their fitness, ability or experience. Extensive risk assessments are carried out before every walk. Click here for the framework we use for risk assessments.

Most of our walks are in the North East of Scotland, within easy reach of Aberdeen. They range from short strolls around country parks, to challenging outings in the Scottish mountains. We have even led a number of outings up Munros.

All Walk-ability guides hold, as a minimum, three qualifications:

  • They hold a summer ML award

  • They have PVG disclosure

  • They have a current first aid certificate and will carry a basic first aid kit

Other, less qualified guides may help out as extra pairs of hands, but we guarantee at least one fully qualified guide per outing.
